Hydroalp operates as an EPC contractor for the construction of green methanol production plants. Thanks to the exclusive rights granted for KHIMOD technologies in Italy, Hydroalp offers a complete package that combines project coordination and execution with proprietary technology.
Green methanol (CH₃OH) is a versatile liquid fuel that can be synthesized from renewable hydrogen and recycled CO₂, or from syngas streams mainly composed of CO, CO₂, and H₂.
Traditionally used as a solvent or chemical feedstock, green methanol has recently gained momentum as a low-emission fuel, especially in the maritime and aviation sectors, thanks to its conversion into jet fuel via the methanol-to-jet (MTJ) pathway. Replacing fossil fuels with green methanol significantly reduces CO₂ emissions and other harmful pollutants, supporting the transition to cleaner energy systems.
